Other Comments

The Registries Stakeholder Group (RySG) appreciates the opportunity to comment on these Charter revisions and express our support for the work of the ISPCP generally, as well as their dedication to transparency in their work. The RySG has been active in the ongoing GNSO efforts to increase transparency in their Statement of Interest processes and guidelines, and we believe this is a community wide issue.

The ISPCP clearly shares that dedication as part of its Membership Rights and Responsibilities they include in Section 3.2.2.5 Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest : “All Members shall disclose any conflicts of interest on a per-issue basis in a timely manner and recuse themselves and their organization from discussions and decision-making related to that topic.”

The RySG wants to take this opportunity to encourage all community groups to incorporate clear transparency requirements that are in line with the requirements in the ICANN Bylaws.
